About Us
NOBE 67 ART is a huge new art event in the Miami art scene that takes place during the busy week of Art Basel. NOBE 67 ART is sponsored by The Deauville Beach Resort Hotel, and its President, Mrs. Belinda Meruelo.
NOBE 67 ART is a curated show run by experienced curator Dr. Milagros Bello. Dr. Bello has, along with a Selection Committee, selected a solid roster of artists from different generations and tendencies. More than 60 artists from modern, contemporary and cutting edge art, to installation and object art, will exhibit during the event, which aims to spotlight new languages and voices from the Miami art scene.
NOBE 67 ART presents a special New Media section, curated by Hamburg-based Guest Curator Jocelyn Adele Gonzalez-Junco. The New Media section will include international and national artists whose works includes performances and site-specific installations.
NOBE 67 ART 2008 pays a special tribute to Masters Cundo Bermudez (Cuba) and Diego Barboza (Venezuela) for their invaluable legacy in the visual arts. NOBE 67 ART presents pieces from The Meruelo and The Amat Collections, which include the work of great masters such as Manuel Mendive, Mariano Rodriguez, and Carmelo Fernandez, among others. Amat Art Gallery and Magna Fine Art Gallery will present an outstanding selection of Cuban Modern Art, by special invitation. NOBE 67 ART is presented in the Napoleon Grand Salon of The Deauville Beach Resort Hotel. At 20,000 square feet, the salon can accommodate more than 50 exhibition booths.
NOBE 67 ART opens to the public December 3rd through December 9th, from 12pm to 9pm every day. On December 2nd, there will be a Press Preview from 2pm to 5pm, a Collector’s Preview from 5pm to 8pm, and a VIP Cocktail Reception from 8pm -11pm.
