Diane Arrieta
Interdisciplinary artist
b. Clearfield, Pa
Born in western Pa of Czech/ German and native American
decent, Arrieta began her art career at an early age. Her father was an artist and musician.
Coming to Florida for college, and never leaving, Arrieta has made South Florida her home for the last 20 years.
“Being an artist, I feel it is my responsibility to show people a different way of viewing the world. Aesthetic art isgreat, but my work is based on concepts, social issues and passion.”
Arrieta’s work has been shown in NY, L.A., Miami and throughout the U.S. most recently Arrieta received a 2008 South
Florida Cultural Consortium Fellowship Award.
